How to start the New Year off right

I read this entire book on Sunday while doing laundry. I couldn't put it down it was THAT good.
Sunday night I watched all my favorite episodes of Friends. My all time favorite is the New Year's episode where Ross wears leather pants.
Monday I got a sugar scrub and massage at Allyu Spa.
Started reading this cute book. I'm so ready to tackle 2012.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving this year was low key; I started off with baked potato soup, sharp cheddar cheese, and extra crispy turkey bacon
Next was an asiago, potato, and zucchini quiche with buttermilk buscuits
The main course was the turkey, simply cooked with garlic and butter with carrots
Finally, I had a Frisch's Big Boy Pumpkin Pie (brought in from Ohio!) with extra Cool-Whip. No worries, Eloise did not get a taste!
I am so thankful for my health, family, friends, and Eloise

Napa Valley

Started the day off right at Domaine Carneros, bubbles!
Next up was a little winery, James Cole, where we ate grapes right off the vine
Next was Darioush, an Iranian winery that was absolutely gorgeous
Lastly was my favorite winery, Paraduxx. It felt like we were sitting in a friend's backyard trying their wine. The wine educator was awesome and brought us out a couple extra tastings on the house. Definitely an experience I'll never forget.

Happy Roald Dahl Day!

"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." -Roald Dahl

Christmas Magic

I'm so excited for the Christmas season. It's taking every ounce of me not to bring out the tree and trimmings before Thanksgiving. Remember: celebrate one holiday at a time. That doesn't mean I'm not rocking out to Christmas carols and planning my holiday cards while sipping hot apple cider.
